Goodbye Thirties, Hello 40! Wow. How did that happen? I don't have an issue with age, it's just a number, but there does seem to be something about hitting those decade markers. There should be a warning sign...Approaching "40" steep decline or hill ahead? Speed up or slow down? There's this surreal feeling...40 really? Me? Didn't I just turn 30? I know I had the same reaction at 30 and at my 20th...but each time it just gets a bit more real and yet more surreal. Are you following me?
I hear people saying, "40 is the best!" And I truly believe it will be the best years...life does get better, like a fine wine.
As a Capricorn we are graced with youthfulness and beauty, And life becomes more fun and enjoyable. Carefree like a child (or so "they" say). We come into this world looking like little old people. Seriously check out your baby pictures dear Capricorns and tell me what you see? Or do you know a Capricorn in your life? How are they aging? I would bet most look great and younger than their age. Finally something we can be grateful for since we are ruled by Father Time and Capricorn's ruler, Saturn. We learn from the hard-earned Saturnine wisdom. Planet of authority, wisdom, responsibility and justice. Natural born leaders, teachers and guides. And why wouldn't we be...we came into this world old with wisdom and then struggled through some hard lessons very early in life. While some of the other fellow signs were enjoying the magical beauty of childhood...of innocence and wonder.
Ahhh doesn't that sound nice.
Coming into my 40's I am grateful for the Cappies' perk of aging. We're offered the gift and pleasure of living those magical and childlike and carefree years NOW.
All my lessons and experiences have become my wisdom. And for me, I'm passionate to share this. To be the guide, the teacher and the leader, and support you to know and own your own LIGHT...(hmm go figure, a true Capricorn trait)
These trials and tribulations have been my gifts and have strengthened me to be my true and authentic self. I have gained understanding and compassion through these 40 years. Learned how to assist, support and be the light bearer for those in the darkness. I've learned to befriend it. My Saturnine influences have taught me to keep reaching for the light. Darkness and our shadow selves are one of our greatest teachers. I've learned to dance in the dark, in order to shine my light.
AGE, TIME, LIFE....40 YEARS of them has given me so much.
LIGHT has the wisdom to know when to slip into the Shadows, to give us the opportunity to grow and to know our power and truth.
So… 40… not too shabby :)
Today I reflect on the past 40 years and especially my last decade. What a dance and journey it's been.
Looking forward to…50?(yikes), what are my dreams, desires, and passions for this next decade?
At this moment, how am I now?
I am Happy
I am Loved
I am Excited

It's Mother Nature's magical gift to Saturnine Goats. Assisted by old Father Time Saturn, himself, she allows Cappies to begin- slowly and gradually, the way the years of responsibilities have passed. Better late than never." ~Linda Goodman's, Love Signs
“He (Capricorn) doesn't have to lead the parade with a big brass band. He gives permission for the parade, and plans its route from behind the scenes. All the daring high-wire acts need the Capricorn's strong, safe net when they miscalculate and tumble. The discipline and formality of jet black and navy blue-the solid practicality of brown-the deep, honest dreams of dark green-these are the quiet colors of his enduring rainbow. Walk slowly through his silent forest, carpeted in soft moss and climbing ivy-and seek the eight hidden treasures of Saturn. Rich, red rubies lie buried beneath the Capricorn, weeping willow. Stay- and leam the eternal beauty of the pure, smooth onyx. Capricorn lead is solid, and Capricorn coal builds lasting fires.” ~Linda Goodman’s, Sun Signs
